Question: TATTOO/PIERCE FED. TAX ID?
i am thinking about applying for a federal tax identification to the irs. i would like to get into the resell business with tattoo/piercing equipment however i dont want to risk some crazy tax bill from the irs or get audited. in general how does the whole process work? and what is the safest way to go about obtaining a federal tax identification? and also, is it worth it when all i want to do is individually resell these things as a small business i.e. buy wholesale and resell to the people i know.
Answer: go to your Secretary of State website. It will tell you how to form a business. Having a tax ID is great. I write off all sorts of things under my corporation.
