Question: How is it fair that gays have to pay additional taxes but the Westboro Baptists are tax-free?

The Westboro Baptist Church freely admits that it’s central belief is that gay people are the cause of everything that is wrong in the world.
They protest at the funerals of dead American soldiers and hold signs that read “Thank God For 9/11″.
They are entitled to “tax exempt” status by the IRS.

Gay couples, on the other hand, pay an additional tax burden on average of about $1200 to 1 compared to their married heterosexual counterparts:

“Married Filing Jointly” relieves most American couples from a heavy tax burden that gays are not allowed to claim:

So basicly, we are taxing gay couples to afford luxury swimming pools, law offices and picket signs for people who obviously hate America…

Does this seem right to you?

Answer: If the Westboro Baptist Church receives Faith Based Charity money, they also have built onto their Church, enjoy the comfort of brand new or refurbished facilities, and have not done much at all to help the poor.

The waste of our tax payer dollars in this Faith Based Charity money is shameful. No new Shelters have been built. No new Food Programs have been instigated. Aside from the Salvation Army, which has been calling for donations because their coffers are nearly empty, church=based charity money is not helping our destitute people, many of them homeless and without jobs.

To make matters worse, there is no way of knowing how much money these Evangelical Megachurches are getting. There is no accountability, no regulations, and no way of aiming the money toward the charitable work they are intended to do. Aside from supporting a few missionary programs, these churches have done little to help out at a time when there are more poor people than ever.

Perhaps Gays should start a church.
