IRS 2009 Tax Credit Form

Question: How do I fill out my 2009 W2 form? A new mother, new claims?
As a new mother, I am filling out a new W2 Form for 2009. What is the Child Tax Credit? How to I know I apply.
I have put
1 for line A (myself)
1 for line B (single and have only on job)
0 for line C (spouse)
1 for line E( number of dependents)
1 for line F (child or dependent care expenses)
and for G, Child Tax Credit, I don’t know if I will need to claim that one!
Could someone help me out. First time filling one out claiming this much. I usually put one, and that’s it.
Thank you, and please no negative responses on me being an idiot. I am not trying to have the IRS come after me for not filling it out right.
Answer: If you make under $61,000 for the year, you can put 2 on line G, giving you a total of 6. You might want to knock that total down to 5.
