Question: Accounting and law enforcement?
ey all, can you help me think of jobs that combine accounting and law enforcement? i got IRS and FBI. any more?
Answer: Oddly enough, Treasury and DEA. Drug dealers have to move their money somehow. Forensic accounting is important. Probably CIA, too, for similar reasons.

Former IRS Agent Sherry Jackson

Question: Federal income tax returns in the states….?
So you pay your federal income tax?
Why is it that people still pay there taxes even though the “law” to pay taxes is unconstitutional?
There is no law anywhere stating that you need to pay income taxes..
What would happen if you didn’t pay?
Could you fight it and win?
what about former IRS agents Sherry Jackson and Joe Turner who haven’t filed tax returns since quitting the irs? This is what i really don’t understand….
Since there isnt a law anywhere stating that you must pay income tax then why doesn’t the us government make a law stating that you have to pay income tax???????
Answer: 1. The law for income taxes is NOT UNCONSTITUTIONAL. In fact, an income tax on wages HAS ALWAYS BEEN CONSTITUTIONAL. The Constitution allows to Congress to lay and collect taxes. It only says that direct taxes must be apportioned among the states and all other taxes, duties, posts, and excises must be uniform. Income taxes are INDIRECT taxes in a Constitutional sense and are only subject to the uniform requirement. Even if some types of income taxes are considered direct, the 16th amendment removes the apportionment requirement for income taxes. Many papers and discussions from the earliest days of the U.S. state that direct taxes are only capitation or poll taxes and taxes on land, all other taxes are indirect.
The first income tax laws in the U.S. were passed in 1861 and continued until 1872. In 1880, the Supreme Court upheld the income tax against an individual under the 1864 income tax laws. Springer vs. United States 102 U.S. 586.
In 1895, the Supreme Court ruled that an income tax applied to income from property, i.e. rental income, was the same as a tax on the land itself and therefore a direct tax.
In order to pass an income tax law that taxes all income from whatever source, Congress proposed, enacted, and the states ratified, the 16th amendment which states, “The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.”
I know what you are about to claim, “The 16th amendment wasn’t properly ratified.” Bull crap. That theory has been REPEATEDLY defeated in court. In fact, the main proponent of that theory, tried that argument in his own criminal case. Guess what? HE LOST and spent time in prison. The 16th amendment was ratified and it is a part of the Constitution. Therefore, an income tax law is not unconstitutional.
The income tax laws are codified in Title 26 of the U.S. Code.

Title 26 is known as “prima facie” law or evidence of the actual laws passed by Congress. You can read the actual laws in the U.S. Statutes at Large. You can find those in Federal Depository Libraries.

Sherry Jackson had a criminal trial on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30, 2007. Jury was out for 45 minutes. GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS. She is looking at about 8 years in prison and SHE WILL STILL HAVE TO PAY HER TAXES.
Joe Banister has publically stated several times that he pays his taxes.
Wesley Snipes was recently convicted on three counts of failure to file tax returns. He is looking at about three years in prison and he still has to pay his taxes.

Audit Tax Returns

Question: US TAX LAWS Are we legally required to file a tax return? Can the IRs really audit you for not filing?
Hi I’m 19 and I just went to www.freedomtofacism.com and watched a movie after I talked to someone at work today, and was told that we are not required to pay income tax. Can anyone prove that one way or another? What about the Supreme court ruling that say that the IRS is illegal and can not require you to pay tax on personal services.
Answer: Yes you are required to file a tax form
Yes you are required to pay taxes on income for services (work)
The IRS is a legal branch of the US GovernmentThe Supreme Court never said the IRS was illegal
Now the question of personal services is tricky, depends on what the service is and how much you got paid.
There are volumes called the Tax Code of the United States, I do not recommend reading them, because I believe sections contradict each other.
www.freedomtofacism.com is a gripe session for minor pieces of law that are obsolete or in need of updateing due to newer conflicting laws. They bend the facts that some laws need updating and word it so it looks like a big brother power thing

Expert: Pain isn’t over for nonprofits
The number of registered nonprofits in York County has grown steadily for about the last decade. But the effects of the recent budget impasse, the economy and changes reporting requirements, could cause some charities to go out of business, local experts say.
