Information Returns IRS

Information Returns IRS

Question: Why does the IRS want more information from me?

We have received your tax return and it is being reviewed. You will receive a notice from us requesting additional information from you. When you receive the notice, please provide the requested information within 30 days. You may not receive all or a part of your refund until we receive and review the information we requested from you. If you need more information after you receive our notice, call the number on the notice.

Could it be a mistake??? They said for a whole week that I would get it the 5th……..

Answer: Yes, if you’ve changed an address, or haven’t reported a new job or any little thing that gives them an excuse to keep your money longer, they’ll make sure that the information is extra right.

Don’t worry, it’s nothing you did, I’m sure, they probably just got something mixed up, or are just skeptical about something that came up in your initial information.
