Question: NEED HELP! I fled my state tax on the 14th, of April (last minute!) and we are about to move. I heard they…?

do not forward refund checks. We are moving out this weekend, and I know will not have it by then. I do not not what I am supposed to do!! My Mother In Law said there is a site i can fill ut a change of address form for the IRS? I live in Ohio. Can anyone help me please? It will be so appriciated! Thanks!

Answer: You need to call your state’s income tax department and give them the new address. Notifying the IRS won’t help you with your state tax return, the IRS is federal…and federal tax refunds ARE forwardable, IF you file a change of address with the post office.
