Question: tax audits is there a limitation on how far back they can audit?
if it has been a while sense you file for your income taxes is there limit on how far the goverment can go back
Answer: There are different statutes of limitations based on the circumstances at hand.
If no return was filed or the return was fraudulent, they can go back as far as they want.
