Question: filed a state return..with physical address not po box how do i get my check back?
I have a p o box ..but check went to physical address if the check was returned to state IRS how long will it take to get the check back. what is it that I need to do once I have updated the information with them..How long does it take once allof this is done?
Answer: Contact your state Department of Revenue or Department of Taxation. Some states use each term. Tell them what happened and ask how to proceed. Even if the check was not returned to them, they may be able to void it and issue a replacement.
