Question: If bought a Dodge Sprinter from a Dealer but they have not apply for title & Reg and my temp will expire soon?

I live in Illinois and on May 18th I bought a Dodge Sprinter 2005 from a Dealer in illinois also and paid $12,500 dlls with personal check ($11,300 for the vehicle & 1057 tax). I have all the paperwork ST-556 Tax Form, Purchase Contract/Bill of Sale and Illinois Secure Power of Attorney but its been almost 3 moths and I have not gotten any Title or Registration, my temporary plates will expire at the end of august. I tried to contact the dealer but they just say that it will be done next week but the said that 5 week ago. I check with Illinois Secretary of State and told me that any change have been made since the last owner in 2005 so they have not done anything at all. What can I do?

Answer: take all of your paperwork into the DOL and apply for an extension.
