Question: amended taxes help?
i recently had to amend my taxes the question is there a way to check on the status of taxes u have amended. and if so do u question about the amount it should have been are the differance that you are suppose to get back. u know when u file ur taxes u can call the irs hotline no. are the where’s my check at the irs website can u do the same thing for amended taxes. and has anyone ever had there taxes amended and how long did it take to get ur money back .
Answer: According to the IRS:
How can I check the status of my amended return?
You will need to contact our assistance line at (800) 829-1040 to receive information on the processing of your amended return. Amended/corrected returns are processed as quickly as possible. However, it could take 8 to 12 weeks to process an amended return.
