2008 Form W-2 IRS
Question: help locating 2008 tax return information?
i efiled my tax returns back in february. i normally filed 1040ez paper and mailed it in. i cannot remember how i did the efile since it was my first time and i do not have any records printed from doing so since i thought i would be able to access the information if needed through the irs.gov site. i am trying to fill out forms that require my 2008 tax information. could someone please give me some assistance on this, i have looked all over the site and the computer and have come up with nothing. i have my w-2 still, would it be best to just print the 2008 tax catalog and “re-do” my taxes for my own records? thank you so much in advance.
Answer: Dear kdd: Two choices call the IRS and ask for a copy/transcript or just re-do the 1040EZ. IRS 800-829-1040
Always keep a copy.
