Question: SS number for tax purpose help?
I joined this company and sold product and earned $700.00; this was 5 months ago. All of sudden just call and asked for my SS# for tax purpose over the phone. I told them “no.” that they need to send something for me to see first because the company did have not an agreement when sign up with them. They email me once and asked again. Then they send the IRS tax form 1099 and stated that I refused to supply SS#.
What could I do when they did not do their job right? could I report them to IRS or other agency for this kind of service.

Answer: Good for you. NEVER, ever give that info out over the phone.
