IRS Dependant Claim Form

Question: The w4 form?

http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw4.pdf#s…

i got my first job this month. When i filled out the form oct 6, I put “EXEMPT” on line 7, now i’m worried,
-should I have left it blank? Will i get in trouble with the IRS?

i’m single
live with parents
i have no kids
mom claims me as a dependant
I will be make like a total of $1,500 this year.

-if i get a 2nd job november how would i fill out the w4 form for the second job?
and will i have to change the info on the FIRST job’s w4 form?

Answer: if you want to change it, you can fill out another form. it’s not a big problem. so change it if it’ll make you feel better. the only thing that I can read from it is that the government won’t take any money out per paycheck, but come tax time when they do their accounting, they will make you pay back the taxes that you owe if in fact you do owe money. so if you don’t want to end up paying a big chunk of change by tax time, it’s best to change your status.

IRS Extension To File Form

IRS Extension To File Form

Question: Can all us Non-Christians ask for an extension on Judgment day like the IRS during tax season?

I’m a Deist/Pantheist, my older Brother is an Atheist. Is there a form we can fill out? Kind of like the people that wait until the last minute to file their taxes?

Answer: Yes Sir, you would fill out form 5782-009. Since you are a Deist, you would also have to fill out form 456-112-R. You stated your brother is an Atheist, because of this he would have to fill out form 5782-009-Z. All of these forms need to be filled out in triplicate, and submitted to the Office of the Gatekeeper, Pearly Gates Heaven care of St. Peter no later than 180 days before Judgment day. In the event your appeal for an extension is denied you may file a formal complaint, filling out forms 6654-007A and 4421-666F along with a written request for a trail which will be given at the Directors discretion. Thank you and good luck.

Church IRS Determination Letter

Question: Do Businesses Required Churches to Have IRS Determination Letter before they will donate?

I understand Churches are not required to apply for exemption because they are automatically exempt under IRS code. However, in the real world of business, I would like to know if donors such as other nonprofit, and for-profit businesses require “CHURCHES” to provide an “IRS TAX DETERMINATION LETTER” before they donate though other nonprofits are required to by businesses.

Answer: In my real world experience, churches generally do not apply to the IRS for a determination letter proving they are exempt from income taxes because (as you noted) they are not required to do so. Thus, potential donors don’t ask churches for a copy of their IRS letter, since most churches don’t ever get such a letter.

Churches often will apply for a state certificate proving they are exempt from sales taxes, since that helps in purchasing everything from paper clips to pipe organs. If you own a business that is considering contributing to a church, you might ask to see their sales tax exemption certificate as a second-hand way of checking their nonprofit status.

IRS Compromise Form

Question: Has anyone out there used the IRS “Offer in Compromise” and can they tell me how it worked for them?

If you just fill out the IRS form and send the IRS your cash offer, it seems like they could simply take the money and reject your offer and demand more. Shouldn’t there be some sort of negotiation prior to the form submission?

Answer: Your form *is* the negotiation. However, most OICs are rejected due to unreasonable expectations by the taxpayer.

The form 656 includes a calculation of the minimum offer the IRS will consider. If your offer is below that, don’t bother.

The IRS has a “reasonable collection potential” of roughly the value of your assets if you sold them and 48 months of monthly payments…. You can’t say, here’s all my spare cash at the moment and let’s cut a deal.
