IRS Fax Number

IRS Fax Number

Question: HELP!!! I need a copy of my tax return as soon as possible!!!?

I need my return so I can get help with my meds. I used Turbotax this year, went into my account printed and sent them my “tax summary” which is apparently different than a “return.” They called me and said they needed the return not the summary. When I try to print my return from the free Turbotax site I used, they try to charge me $30. Do I call the IRS 800 number or call Turbotax and have them fax it to me or what? I need this quickly. Thanks!
Or am I not in the right menu in Turbotax. It says print my return and then they want credit card info.

Answer: If you need an copy of the actual return IRS charges $39.00 for the copy, and takes 30 to 60 days to receive a copy. You could go to the local IRS office and request a RETURN TRANSCRIPT which is a line by line transcript of the same information you filed on your return and all loan offices and banks, school etc accept this the transcript because it is from the IRS and shows you did file a return. You can request the transcript by calling IRS at 1-800-829-1040 and they will mail it to you(takes 5-10 days) or download form 4506-T to reqeust the transcript.

Contact IRS About Refund

Question: IRS is going to send my refund to my Ex due to deceit on his part, who can I contact to stop them?

My ex husband filed as head of household when we were seperated. The kids were in my custody. He got the tax credit for the kids. Since then we have filed an amendment to the original, filing jointly we were going to get more money. He said I could keep it all since he was 6 months behind on child support and this was to catch him up. Now the IRS will only talk to HIM about the refund since his name was on the original filing! We haven’t recieved the money yet and it looks like they are going to mail my money to him… in another state! And nobody can contact the IRS to tell them differently. My kids need that money. Is there any way to stop the IRS from sending him the money? Or someone that I can contact to help me talk to the IRS?

IRS Addresses For Business

IRS Addresses For Business

Question: How did you or will you register your name-change?

Anyone ever try the site www.MissNowMrs.com? It’s supposed to be fast and easy when submitting your name change to businesses, the IRS, Social Security, etc. It completes the forms for you and then when you print them out, you mail them in to the respected addresses with the fees each business requests. Sounds simple…!!

Anyone else do it or plan on doing it a different way?

Thank you!!

Answer: I would not recommend doing that. The social security office has to see a certified copy of your marriage license. I simply took my marriage license along with birth certificate and divorce papers from my first marriage to to social security office myself, and it took about 10 minutes. After the social security office I went to the DMV and had a new drivers license made. After these two things are done everything else pretty much falls into place. Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!!!!!
