Question: Tax-exempty status – Examples of Package 1023?

I am in the process of forming a non profit in NC. Since I was able to view completed Articles of Inc. on the NC Secretary of State site I was wondering if there is a website where I could view the paperwork (1023, 990, etc) involved in the 501(c)3 process.

I am interested in viewing completed applications. Assuming that a tax-exempt organization is open to scrutiny, because of its status, I would think that one would be able to view these forms in their entirety, as opposed to instructions and blank forms provided by irs.gov.

Past incorrect answers have been:

Form 990
www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f990.pdf
instructions
www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i990-ez.pdf

See Application for Exemption
www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1023.pdf

explanation of requirements:

IRS Publication 557 “”Tax Exempt Status for Your Organization”
www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p557.pdf

These are blank not completed forms.

Answer: Generally, the IRS does not send emails. I have gotten emails from the IRS but I am a tax professional and initiated the contact.

The IRS will never contact a taxpayer thru email to inform you about the status of your return. Ask youself…how would they know your email address to begin with?

Next, if the IRS do find and error and choose to correct it without you correcting it…they will simply send a check to your last known address. But, this is a very rare.

IRS Refunds Status

IRS Refunds Status

Question: Anyone received their IRS REfund when status was changed to process delay?

Filde my refund on 02/13 went into status my date of refund was changed due to processing delays until 03/11. I have read happened to others? When has people received refund on processed delay? Are you still waiting? LOoking to see if its possible I get it soon or going to be a long time? I Hate the IRS~

Answer: I first had refund to be deposited 1/25, then “there is a delay in processing your refund” recvd a cp-05 letter which basically told me nothing, would receive a refund or another letter within 3 weeks from 2/18! The people at the IRS are NO help at all. I don’t think there is anything wrong with any of our returns. I think they are just slow and are using these codes as excuses to hold our money. I am so sure they will be paying us interest on our money that they owe us! The exact same thing happened to me last year. H&R block on line. E-filed. Still have been waiting almost 6 weeks!

Question: i need to know how to cash and IRS refund check for my son who I have power of attorney over?

I don’t have Id for him I do have the “Limited Power of Attorny” nortiarize. He is currently in jail for next two years.

Answer: Take it to the bank with the power of attorney. I doubt they’ll cash it outright but they should allow you to open an account in his name. I would go to a bank that you do business with regularly and talk to someone other than a teller. Nothing wrong with tellers but they have limited authority.

If you son has a bank account anywhere, just deposit it in his account.
