Www IRS Gov Forms 1099

Question: Where do I find the EXACT 1099 1st Qtr. estimated taxes forms online for small new start business Jan. 07?

I need to pay my 1st quarter estimated taxes. I just started a small business 1/1/7 with me as the only employee. I went to www.irs.gov and can’t seem to find what I need to download to get this started. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Answer: You’re looking for the wrong form. Go back to the IRS website. Click on Forms and Publications. Click on Forms. Scroll down to the 2007 version of Form 1040ES. Download it. That’s the form you need, not a Form 1099.

IRS.gov Forms W-4

Question: I can’t find at 2006 W-4 form, only the 2007 W-4 on IRS.gov, can I use the 2007 form?

An employee of ours want to be exempt for the remaing 2 paychecks of the year. Can he fill out a 2007 W-4?

Answer: I don’t think it’s changed any, so you’d probably be OK. The purpose of the form is just to figure out how much to withhold. Use the 2006 tables though to figure his withholding. Or since he’s claiming exempt, he wouldn’t have any for federal, although would still have social security, and state and local if applicable.

If he wants to go back to normal withholding at the beginning of 2007, he’ll have to fill out another one.
