Question: Has anyone checked www.irs.gov and verified that your 2006 refund has actually been processed?
Does “where’s my refund” actually tell you a date that your 2006 refund has been mailed or will be direct deposited on a certain date?
Answer: Yes. I e-filed my taxes on January 17th, using Tax Cut. I chose direct deposit, because it is the fastest way to receive my refund. This morning, I went to www.irs.gov, to check up on my refund status, even though they recommend waiting a week to do this. When I entered my information, it said that the irs were processing my information, and that assuming that there were no errors, I would receive my refund by January 30th.
Get Your Refund Faster – Choose Direct Deposit
If you want to get your refund as quickly as possible, just tell the IRS to deposit your refund directly into your bank account. By choosing Direct Deposit, you can get your refund much sooner than if you chose to have a paper check mailed to you.

Question: i went to irs.gov and where’s my refund and it says it had been deposited directly to bank account on 3/2 but
its not there and my bank says they have not recieved it?
Answer: If you do not see it first thing Monday, ask the bank why not. There is no excuse for it to be delayed at all and certainly no excuse for it to be delayed beyond tonight’s processing.
This, btw, is a bank issue not an IRS one. The IRS is very good at sending moeny out on time. Some banks seem to think it is their money to be released at their whim.
